AVM Herbals product pages are designed to answer practical questions: what is in it, how is it used, who makes it, and under which licence. What a page shows varies from product to product, and the label on the pack always has the final word. This guide explains the parts you may find.
1. The name and the ingredient line
Many product names pair the Tamil name with the common name in brackets, for example Nellikkai Powder (Amla). Where an ingredients section lists a botanical name — Phyllanthus emblica on that page — the same herb can be recognised across Tamil, English and botanical names. Some formulations are listed as a proprietary blend and do not name each herb. Where a page states the part used, such as root, leaf, seed or whole plant, that is what the product is made from. The key botanicals index and the Ingredient Encyclopedia list names side by side for the herbs they cover.
2. Directions for use
Where a page has a “How to use” section, it tells you how the product is taken or applied. If the pack in your hand differs from the website, follow the current label and contact us before use. Items sold for ritual use, such as incense and kumkum, are for ceremonial use only and not for internal consumption, as their pages state.
3. Licence numbers and manufacturer
Product pages include a “Manufacturer and licence details” section with the manufacturing and contact address, the GST number and the licence numbers. Siddha products show a manufacturing licence number (Mfg. Lic. No. 1330/25D) and food products show an FSSAI licence number (12417003001556). Siddha products sold under the AVM Herbals name are manufactured for AVM Herbals by Shri Vaidhya Herbals, a company also founded by Vijayaragavan; you can read more on the Our Vaidyar page.
4. Pack size and natural variation
The pack size is shown beside the price. Natural ingredients can vary in colour, aroma, texture and appearance between batches; this does not change the stated product.
