AVM Herbals was founded in Coimbatore in 1985 by Brahmasri S.A.G. Vijayaragavan, who has practised as a Siddha Vaidyar since that year. He carries forward four generations of family herbal knowledge and is a descendant of his grandfather, a Rana Vaidyar — a traditional title held in the family.
The family tradition
Siddha medicine is handed down through families as much as through books. The AVM Herbals range follows classical Siddha practice as it has been passed down in this family: single-herb powders, medicated oils, balms and classical compounds.
The clinic
The AVM Herbal Clinic And Research Centre is run by doctors under the guidance of Brahmasri S.A.G. Vijayaragavan. He guides the clinic’s work, and the clinic is run day to day by its doctors. To learn more about the clinic, visit Our Heritage.
Who makes our products
Siddha products sold under the AVM Herbals name are manufactured for AVM Herbals by Shri Vaidhya Herbals, a company also founded by Vijayaragavan. Manufacturing and licence details, including licence numbers, are listed on every product page and in the page footer.
