Why it matters

Thanrikkai (bibhitaki) is one of the three fruits of Triphala. Taken as directed, it is traditionally used to support digestive wellness, pitta management, body cooling and respiratory comfort — a pillar of the most classical Siddha compound.

How to use

Mix ½–1 teaspoon (2–5 g) in warm water, honey or buttermilk once or twice daily, preferably before food — or as directed by a Siddha physician.
