Korai Kizhangu — the cooling aromatic root the Siddhars reached for in fevers and thirst.
Why it matters
Korai Kizhangu (nut grass root) is the small, fragrant tuber the Siddhars kept close for restless thirst, hot constitutions and unsettled digestion. Taken with warm water or buttermilk, it is traditionally used to support digestion, cool internal heat and relieve excess thirst — the quiet, dependable root that calms a body running too warm.
What's inside
Cyperus rotundus (dried tuber).
How to use
Mix ½–1 teaspoon (2–5 g) in warm water, honey or buttermilk once or twice daily, preferably before food — or as directed by a Siddha physician.
